Background: (See the story ‘Relatively Free’) Vasily is a former member of the Russian mob known as the Vory. He’s been a were for over 14 years, 11 years of which were spent in prison. This has left him a bit less experienced in his form and abilities than would be expected. He has come to Canada to start a new life, the decision being prompted by his release from prison and a near-immediate attempt on his life. He doesn’t know who made the attempt, but he’s fairly certain he doesn’t want to encounter them on their terms.
Random Facts: Vasily has a very large number of tattoos on his arms and upper body dating from his time with the Vory and in prison. Most of these are Vory related, but one in particular is of note- an inverted spider on his left forearm. It indicates that he has left the Vory life behind him, but is not out of favor. His right arm and torso are covered with burn scars- the legacy of his time in prison when a fellow inmate attempted to kill him.
Vasily's education stopped at the equivalent of high school. At puberty he started having difficulties, mostly in the area of anger management. He started to get into a lot of fights, and had also delved into petty crimes like vandalism. If he had received psychological or medical assistance, as he would have in the West, he would have turned out pretty normal. However, growing up in Soviet Russia, these avenues weren't open to him.
Even so, he might have grown out of it with the support of his family. However, his father's violent death in an industrial accident magnified his anger at the world, and from that point on it was a tragic spiral into violent crime. Eventually this led to him joining Igor Volgolev's Vory cell. All the education he received thereafter was on his own, in relation to his criminal lifestyle.

Character Use: Vasily can be used as a foil in arguments, but will be VERY hard to provoke into a fight. He will defend women and children without hesitation. I don't mind people using him as an NPC or story character, but I'd prefer to be asked first... Though this isn't strictly necessary. His English will always be stilted, and he rarely uses contractions. In his native Russian, he sounds much rougher and more natural in the flow of his conversation. Vasily is not to be killed nor permanently injured in writing, art or RP, whether live or forum-based without my consent.
Descriptions for alternate forms: None yet.
Misc.: Vasily’s wolf seems to be entirely blended with him, with there being little to no difference in his personality when he is in wereform. However, there IS some separation- his wolf actually acts to keep him calm and rational. If his temper seems to be going out of control, his eyes will change in the manner of a were about to change- this is his wolf calming him. He doesn’t lose control (usually), but this is the opposite of the normal situation.
Spoiler, hidden information: It seems like Vasily has no separate wolf, and indeed he believes that he's truly 'of one mind' with his animal half. However, this is not strictly true. His wolf is kept busy within him, restraining that older portion of him that was an inhuman, sociopathic monster. Thus, he has few instincts and the wolf in him is rarely if ever seen. This situation cannot last. Eventually, 'Bad Vas' will get loose, or the wolf will be needed more in his life. When this happens, things will change for Vasily in ways he can't predict.
